Elementary Schedule

*Students receiving intervention services (RTI) and students with exceptional needs will have additional Google Meets and parents/families will  receive more information from Fairview Elementary educators.

Educator Support

Students have flexibility in the time during the school day that they complete daily asynchronous assignments in an effort to support our parents and families with the added challenge of supporting their children with assignments at home. Our educators work  between the hours of 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM and balance the other roles they must attend to during the evening hours. Educators  are available during their work hours to answer student and family calls, emails, and messages, when they are not scheduled for  other work related responsibilities. Teachers will post for parents/families office hours in which they will set aside time to be  available to their students for extra help on assignments if needed. These office hours are available to you but they are not required.  It is understood that parents/families may be assisting their child with virtual learning assignments outside of educator work hours.  Please go ahead and reach out for assistance when you don’t have availability to do so during educator work hours and your call,  email, messages, etc. will be returned during the educator’s next work day. At your request, educators will extend the due to date in  situations where there is a delay in submitting an assignment while you are waiting for a response.

Food Service

On one day weekly, we will deliver a week of meals for students during virtual learning. Delivery will be on Tuesday or Wednesday.  An option for picking up meals through a drive thru at FMS/FHS will also be available. Meals are available at this time for all students  and this is not based on income or need. If you would like to receive meals through either pick up or delivery, please complete the  following Google Form as soon as possible and someone will call you before the end of the day on Monday with details and  answer any questions you may have. Educator Support

At the middle and high school level, students are at an age of development in which they should be encouraged to contact their  teachers for support when they need additional support in completing assignments. Our educators work between the hours of 7:00  AM until 4:00 PM and balance the other roles they must attend to during the evening hours. Educators are available during their  work hours to answer student messages, when they are not scheduled for other work related responsibilities. Teachers will give  additional learning assistance to students outside of synchronous learning sessions. With your support, we can use our current need  to implement virtual learning as an opportunity to increase our student’s independence and ownership of their learning by having  them contact their teacher when they need additional assistance.
