FISD - Educational Beliefs

We believe the basic philosophy of any school should reflect the collective goals of its pupils, parents, teachers, administrators, and community.

We believe that well-defined goals and objectives are essential to a quality educational program.

We believe in respect for the human personality. Each child must have the opportunity to develop to his or her highest potential.

We believe that each child must develop physically, mentally, morally, and socially in order to become a productive, contributing member of society.

We believe that an educated citizenry is the hallmark of a strong, free society.

We believe that education is a shaping influence in life.

We believe that personal and professional examples must be set so that students will develop values.

We believe that a diploma is a certificate of accomplishment opening gates of employment opportunity and personal achievement.

We believe that each and every employee functions as an integral member of the school personnel team and makes a highly significant contribution to the educational program. The promptness and efficiency with which the duties of personnel is performed, the manner and interest displayed, and the attitude shown toward others all contribute to the sense of common purpose that should prevail in meeting the educational need of our pupils.
