Community Cookout - July 31st
Congratulations Mrs. Sara Smith on Being Named Fairview Elementary Principal!

The Fairview Independent School District is excited to announce the selection of Mrs. Sara Smith as the new principal of Fairview Elementary School. The SBDM Council spent an extensive amount of time and commitment to the principal selection process by developing a criteria, reviewing all applicants, and conducting interviews of many qualified applicants in order to select the best fit as the next instructional leader of their school.

Mrs. Smith grew up in Greenup County, Kentucky and is a resident of South Shore. She currently works in a school leadership position as the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Specialist at Fleming County High School. She has an Education Specialist degree in leadership with principal certification, a Master of Arts with K-12 teaching certification, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

She is married to Jason Smith, principal at Greenup County High School. She has two step-sons, Jacob and Noah. Mrs. Smith shared the following, "As the Principal of Fairview Elementary School, I will do all I can to support the needs of each student. I will do what is necessary to build strong and lasting relationships with integral stakeholders...I can cultivate a culture of high expectations, as well as a love for helping all students succeed."

Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Sara Smith to our team!
